The Infocus LP755 projector in all its glory
The American manufacturer, Infocus put all its expertise into designing the Infocus LP755 video projector in 1999. One could not help but admire the functions which this model was equipped with. The multimedia functions, unheard of at the time, made this device the must-have projection equipment when a certain image quality was required. Production stopped in 2001 to create space for even more powerful models. This video projector would regain all of its functions with a simple light bulb change. If we had to recommend a video projector to replace it, the BenQ MS527 would be a serious contender.
The Infocus LP755 projector manages to project XGA resolution images, four times more pixels than the base value of 1024x768 points. However, it does limit itself to its maximum values. Pointless forcing it to more than 1280x1024. If necessary, the user should first of all adjust the resolutions on the computer.
In terms of compatibility, this product has nothing to be ashamed of when compared to other machines in the same category. It can recognise all computers, can be used with video recorders, camcorders… to benefit from the considerable cinematographic rush.
The connections are in line with current regulations. A Wizard cable input connects with all computers. Whereas, for the more demanding, there is a loud speaker output in order to add an acoustic base to the projections. Apart from that, 15 pin VESA cable input, S-video, VESA audio cable inputs… are also available.
The BenQ MS527’s LED bulb is 3 300 lumens with a lifespan exceeding 10 000 hours. Economic, but also ecological, this little gem can read 3D content. It goes without saying that it can also provide HD output, with values reaching 1920x1200 pixels. Whether it’s for a home cinema, large offices, or even a screening room… this projector adapts easily to any use.
The connections also meet expectations, with HDMi and S-video inputs, 2 VGA inputs, a USB and a mini USB input. And for even more excitement, a Jack input, simple but effective.
Faced with current environmental challenges, the BenQ MS527 has been fitted with Eco Bank functionality. This reduces the bulb’s power, creating the possibility of reducing energy consummation by 70%. Home cinema with 3D films is therefore strongly recommended to make the most of the benefits that this device offers.
An office tool that is equally suited to teaching
The Infocus LP755 projector was mainly aimed at the professional market. This projector is ideal for meetings where demonstrations using complex graphics are required. Its performance is that of an office tool with more than acceptable resolution. It is fitted with a projection system with a plethora of 16.7 million colours supported by liquid crystal active matrix display. For advertisers, photographers… the results will be true to what can be seen on the computer screen. The precision and reliability are the main qualities of this device. Furthermore, the lifetime of the Infocus LP755 projector lampe is approximately 3000 hours, even more in economy mode. The Infocus LP755 projector manages to project XGA resolution images, four times more pixels than the base value of 1024x768 points. The BenQ M5527 projector, a possible substitute
Having similar functionality, the BenQ MS527 video projector performs very similarly to the Infocus LP755. Having Brilliant Colour technology, it automatically adjusts the colour zones that create a visual imbalance. It manages to calibrate the colours in order to achieve perfect colorimetry just as it manages to reduce uneven enhancement. The BenQ MS527’s LED bulb is 3 300 lumens with a lifespan exceeding 10 000 hours.
