How to change a projector lamp with its cartridge
The installation of a projector lamp is a simple procedure which does not cause any damage to your projector.
Most projectors have an access panel at the back for an easy installation of the new projector lamp. You can open the access panel with a screwdriver, remove the old lamp and then carefully insert the new projector lamp.
This operation does not take more than a minute.

How to change a bare bulb without the cartridge
If you want to change a bare bulb, without its cartridge, you will need to re-use the cartridge of the old lamp and remove the bulb. Once the old bulb is removed, install the new bulb in the cartridge, and replace these two reassembled elements into the projector.
Justprojectorlamps.co.uk offers spare projector bulbs only for those lamps allowing a straightforward replacement of the old bulb. If the operation is too complex, we would not recommend it. Replacing a bulb should be a quick and easy procedure, without any risk of damage neither to your bulb nor to the cartridge.
Even though in most cases this is a simple procedure, it demands some dexterity and careful handling during the set up of the projector bulb. If you return a bulb that has been damaged during the installation process we cannot replace or refund it. Clients choosing to purchase a bare bulb must have the necessary skills to carry out this technical operation.
Please make sure that the screws/bolts of the terminals are not too tight as these can crack the ceramic component and damage the lamp insulation. On the other hand, the fittings shouldn?t be too loose to avoid a load strain and breakage.
Make sure that the bulb is properly fitted into the cartridge. You should stop at the first sign of resistance. Continue to apply a light pressure to the base of the bulb until the bulb is properly installed into the cartridge.
