What procedure should be followed to resolve the fan failure of a projector OPTOMA EP780?
Question from customers
Question from Colom C.:
Hello,
I have in my possession a projector OPTOMA EP780 and I have a problem that requires your help. My projector OPTOMA displays a message stating that the fan fails. I do not know what to do because this is the first time that this problem happens to me.
Can you advise me something to repair my OPTOMA EP780 or the procedure to follow to restart it because I can not use my projector OPTOMA since few weeks?
Thank you.

OPTOMA EP780
Hello,
To quickly test the fans of your OPTOMA EP780, it is necessary to shunt them one by one, that is to say, put in touch the yellow and black wire. This procedure is to check whether the fan runs with a normal speed, sufficient (because it is possible that the fan runs but with a low speed), and to be sure that it is not the source of the failure.
After that, you should remove the dust in the interior of your projector OPTOMA EP780 for better ventilation and to avoid also unexpected failures like this. Dust off specifically the filter to insure the good ventilation in your projector.
Try to solve your problem with these two procedures and do not hesitate to get back to us if you have questions to submit.
Best regards,
