How to solve the power failure of the Sony KF-42SX300U projection TV lamp?
Question from customers
Question from Kamel D. :
My product: generic lamp for LCD TV Sony KF-42SX300U is defective. I received it in July. I kept the original packaging.
Here are the details of the problem: the power does not pass through the lamp and this hypothesis was confirmed by a technician.
Could I qualify for an exchange, please?
Answer from justprojectorlamps.co.uk
Firstly, it is important to know the early signs visible outside that you found that prompted you to seek the services of a repairman, such as the blinking green or red, and how long it lasts? And do you have tried 2 or 3 times to remove the lamp and reset? Have you checked if the switch that detects the lamp is fully inserted and properly activated? Does the fan of your LCD TV Sony KF-42SX300U work normally when the light is green?
So you have to put all the elements back in place, and detect if the problem is really the lamp. You say that the electric current does not pass through the lamp, the problem is not systematically the lamp because the lamp can not light effectively if there is a power failure. In other words, the problem could come from the part of the electric system of the lamp. It is better in this case to check carefully that part, especially the ballast, perhaps it is out of service, it may need to be replaced.
