Hello,
Now, few brands are providing their lamps with filters. They recommend that the old filter is cleaned and reused.
In fact, the filter cleaning is part of upkeeping of the projector. It is even recommended to keep the filter clean, therefore, it is important to clean it regularly.
The best lamp brightness, that is to say, the best performance of the projector and its life depend mainly on the cleanliness of the filter. And then the dust and dirt can seep inside, so it should be cleaned so that there is no tailings.
What must be avoided is also increasing the temperature inside the projector that can be caused by the accumulation of dust and will deteriorate faster than expected the projector.
Recommended cleaning frequency is quarterly, that is to say every 3 months, avoid that residues remain too long in the filter and invade the central of the equipment and cover the lamp.
It should also take precautions when cleaning: switch off, leave the projector until it cools before you start cleaning, unplug the power cord, do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, eliminating dust and dirt with an aspirator suitable for the size of the filter with a minimum power, never use compressed air bomb otherwise you may disperse debris into the projector.

And finally, for your information, we do not sell filter separately.
